1980's |
The 1970's saw the start of the New Oxford Football Program. Don Arigo took over as the first Head Football Coach. The team competed in the Blue Mountain League and saw varied success.

The 1980's saw two coaching changes for the Colonials. In 1981, Jack Billman, long time assistant for Coach Arigo took over as the 2nd head coach for the program. While in 1989, Gardy Lawrence replaced Billman.

The 1990's saw big changes for the Colonials. In 1992, the team moved from the Blue Mountain League to York-Adams Division 1. The 1990's also saw some of the most successful seasons in program history, mainly 1995 and 1996 when "The Ox" posted back to back District 3 Playoff Births which culminated in playing for the District 3 Championship vs. Manhiem Central. The Colonials finished runner-up but are the only team to earn the honor of playing at Hersheypark Stadium.

The 2000's saw two payoff births along with the program's only YAIAA Division 1 Championship. The decade also saw the 4th coaching change in the program's history. Longtime assistant and former New Oxford graduate, Matt Muller took the reins of the program in 2005. Muller led the team to two playoff births and the program's winningest season in 2006.

The decade has been met with multiple coaching changes. The Colonials current head coach, Jason Warner, is long time assistant in the program as well as a former player for the Colonials. He and his coaching staff took over in 2018 and are working hard to reestablish the program in the competitive YAIAA Division 1 landscape. The highlight of the decade came in the final season of the 2010's when the Colonials qualified for the District 3 Class 5A Playoff and won their opening round match up in impressive fashion over Northeastern, 42-14. The Colonials then fell to runner-up Cedar Cliff in the quarterfinal round.

The current decade started off with one of the best seasons in Colonials Football history! After moving to the YAIAA Division 2, the Colonials posted an undefeated league record (6-0) and claimed the first outright league championship in school history! The Ox qualified for the District 3 Class 5A playoffs for the second consecutive year as the 3rd seed. Despite a hard fought game against the 2nd ranked team in the state, Warwick, the Colonials fell 14-12. The Ox followed up the 2020 season with their 3rd consecutive winning season and playoff appearance in 2021! The Colonials won their 2nd Divisional title in 3 seasons with an undefeated league record in 2022. Despite a 1st round bye, a playoff win in the quarterfinals proved elusive for the Ox again in 2022.
